Miscellania!!!

Hello, and welcome to our page! Miscellania, or Missy, is Bowdoin's oldest historically all-female group. We are so excited to share a little bit about who we are and what we do :)

Missy was first recognized as an official club in 1976, shortly after women were admitted to the College. We arrange a wide variety of music and perform at various events both on and off campus. We create community both within and outside our group, adding to the rich musical opportunities at Bowdoin College!

Check out our Instagram for performance information and to learn more about our group! @bowdoinmiscellania

How do auditions work?

Missy, alongside all 5 other Bowdoin a cappella groups, will perform at a Recruitment Concert at the beginning of the fall semester. Afterwards, we'll hold auditions and callbacks to select our newbies! Be sure to check out CampusGroups and Instagram at the beginning of the semester -- we will post all specific logistical info there!

When and where do we perform?

Missy's performance schedule varies depending on the year, but all of our gigs will be posted on our Instagram and CampusGroups! We have annual concerts with other Bowdoin groups, lots of gigs with nearby colleges and community organizations, and school sponsored performances at least once a semester!
