Bowdoin College Longfellows

Brothers Bound By Song

The Bowdoin College Longfellows is one of six a cappella groups on campus. The Longfellows is an all-male group with members from every class and vocal range. The Longfellows trace roots to the Class of 1825 and namesake, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Why We Sing

We maintain a deeply rooted connection to many of the College's traditions: the Common Good and camaraderie through song. We remain dedicated to making great music and sharing it with the campus and the greater Brunswick community.

Our Sound

Viva L' Amor and
That Lonesome Road

Viva L' Amor is the very first song learned by every new member, making it the song that connects all fellows to one another, young and old.

Soloists:
Viva L' Amor - Dante Moussapour '19
That Lonesome Road - Ben Zevallos '21

Can't Help Falling in Love

A Fellows favorite, this classic piece is most beautifully sung in Bowdoin's Chapel. There is no soloist, so every voice part shines through.

Wild Mountain Thyme and
Move On

Wild Mountain Thyme is another song learned by all members. It is a traditional song that is here complemented by Move On, one of many contemporary pieces in the Fellows' repertoire. Will ye go?

Soloists:
Wild Mountain Thyme - Firas Abboud '22
Move On - Dante Moussapour '19
