About Us
The Bowdoin Environmental Action Team (previously named Sunrise Bowdoin) is a club focused on environmental action and advocacy on campus, in Brunswick, and beyond. When the legislature is in session, we follow relevant legislation, write testimony, and travel up to the Maine State House to voice our support for important bills. In the past year, BEAT has also begun a monthly publication to share local and national environmental news, on-campus events, and other fun tidbits. We also work with other departments and groups on campus to host speakers, screenings, and other events.
