About Us

Bowdoin Environmental Action Team (BEAT) is an environmental action club at Bowdoin. We believe that climate change is one of the defining problems of our generation, the effects of which are already being felt, and often disproportionately in communities that contribute the least to this change. We work with Maine environmental non-profit organizations and the Bowdoin and Brunswick communities to advance knowledge of the effects of climate change and what communities and individuals can do to be resilient. We support a just transition to renewable energy and environmental policies that support everyone in Maine.
