Mission

Bowdoin Chapter

oSTEM is a national organization that fosters queer engagement in STEM by helping students connect with faculty mentors, prepare for grad school, find scholarships, and much more. As a student chapter of the organization, we hope to make the STEM community at Bowdoin more accessible and welcoming to queer students and provide support for queer students pursuing careers in STEM.

Vision

We envision a world where LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community are empowered to achieve success in a safe and supportive environment that celebrates their diversity and unique contributions.

Mission

oSTEM empowers LGBTQ+ people in STEM to succeed personally, academically, and professionally by cultivating environments and communities that nurture innovation, leadership, and advocacy.
