The following fellowships fund students to work for an organization of their choice anywhere in the world:

Maine Based Fellowships (8) – funds students to work for a Maine based organization or community.
Deadline: Wednesday, Feb 24th at noon


Summer 2021 placement descriptions are now online. This summer we have placements with the following organizations. Please note that our organizations have developed remote options for the summer if in person fellowships are not a possibility due the pandemic or if on-campus housing is not an option this summer.

Environmental Studies Fellowships (Sustainability and Environmental Justice) (2-3)
– funds students to work for an organization of their choosing. You can work in Maine, in your community, or anywhere in the world. We have listed organizations interested in hosting a fellow this summer if you are looking for ideas for organizations.
Deadline: Wednesday, February 24th at noon

Cooke Environmental Research Fellowship (1-2) – Funds students to conduct community based research under the guidance of a faculty mentor and in partnership with a community organization of the student’s choosing **Winter break is a good time to identify contact faculty sponsors and host organizations for this fellowship**
Deadline: March 10th at noon
