Storytelling Workshop: Learn about effective storytelling with Senior Writer-in Residence Anthony Walton

The Bowdoin Naturalists are collaborating with the Sustainability Office and the Environmental Studies Program for its 50th Anniversary of Environmental Studies at Bowdoin. We are hosting a three-part series focusing on students of color telling their environmental stories. Students will be engaging in a
(1) storytelling workshop lead by Anthony Walton, Bowdoin Writer-in-Residence (Lunch included) REGISTER TODAY!
(2) the storytelling event itself, and (3) a "Turning storytelling into Action" event where we use letter-writing as a way to communicate our stories and enact change.
The Storytelling event and letter writing workshop are OPEN TO ALL!

"TJ Demos speaks on the aesthetics of climate justice" by Clara Jergin for the Bowdoin Orient. Demos spoke on his research on contemporary art, which advocates for climate justice inextricably contextualized by issues like racial and economic inequity.

Common Ground Fair on Friday September 23 - Sunday September 25 in Union, Maine. The Bowdoin Organic Garden is going to the Fair Friday, September 23- catch a ride!
MCHPP Family Harvest Day 2022 on Saturday, October 1 from 9:00 -11:00 am or 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Join MCHPP at Growing to Give for a day of family fun on the farm! The day will include festive snacks, activities, farm projects, and more.
Out of Our Depth: Interdisciplinary science for marine mammal conservation on Monday, September 29th from 3:00 - 4:00 pm (virtual option). Speaker Kristina Cammen is an Assistant Professor in the School of Marine Sciences at the University of Maine, where she teaches and conducts research in marine mammal science. Her research program focuses on improving our understanding of marine mammal ecology and ocean health, and advancing the use of genomic techniques in conservation biology.

The first EOS Gather of the 2022-2023 year! Come to the Roux patio to meet other EOS enthusiasts. Food and drinks (pizza, donuts, and seltzer) will be provided.
