Qi Gong (pronounced “chee gung”)is an ancient gentle movement practice that focuses on balancing and harmonizing ones vital life energy for optimal health and wellbeing. Qi Gong is a mind-body-spirit practice that can improve ones mental and physical health by integrating gentle, fluid movement, breath practices, self-massage and mindful intent.

In this weekly practice, we will explore the classic Qi Gong sequence known as The Eight Brocades (Ba Duan Jin). This series of eight movements is one of the oldest and most commonly practiced Qi Gong sequences. Have you ever seen a public park with a group of people practicing gentle, fluid movements in unison? It’s quite likely they were practicing the Eight Brocades! The soft, flowing movements of this practice enhances physical awareness, harmonizes the energy (Qi) and steadies the mind. Appropriate for all levels, especially beginners!
