Chelsea Conaboy is a health and science journalist. She was a writer and editor for The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Boston Globe, and Portland Press Herald (https://www.chelseaconaboy.com/about). She holds an English/Journalism degree from the University of New Hampshire. Chelsea Conaboy’s book, Mother Brain: How Neuroscience is Rewriting the Story of Parenthood describes the structural and functional changes that occur in the brain when we become parents. The book combines data from neuroscience and social psychology providing new insight on the experience of parenthood. Along with Paula Norcott, founder of Maine Mother + Company, a local organization that supports new parents, Chelsea Conaboy will discuss the structural and functional changes that occur in the brain in parenthood.
