Synopsis: A group of veteran guerrillas fighters and soldiers face the hatred of the past and the pains of the present, when they return, twenty five years later, to the neighborhoods of San Salvador where they fought the final battle of the Salvadoran Civil War.

Julio López Fernández is director and film producer of Mexican-Salvadoran nationality. He has produced and directed feature and documentary films in all the countries of Central America and Mexico. His document "The Battle of the Volcano" is a documentary mosaic of oral and visual memories about the major battle of the Salvadoran Civil War.
