Stephanie Foo will read and discuss her recent work with Associate Professor of Asian Studies and English Belinda Kong and Josh-Pablo Patel '23. Foo is a Malaysia-born American radio journalist, producer, and author. What My Bones Know, her memoir about healing from Complex PTSD, has been named one of the best books of 2022 for NPR, Publisher's Weekly, Amazon, and Goodreads. She co-produced a video series for This American Life that won an Emmy award. Her radio work has aired on Snap Judgment, Reply All, 99% Invisible, and Radiolab, and her audio editing work and writing have been featured in The New York Times and Vox. A noted speaker and instructor, she has taught at Columbia University and has spoken at venues from Sundance Film Festival to the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
