Reiki Clinic is a popular way to take a moment & recharge midweek! A mix of Reiki trained Bowdoin students + Brunswick community partners offer their skills and experience to support you in a mini mindbody healing experience.

What is REIKI? Great question- everyone asks that:)
Reiki can be a little hard to explain (easier to just experience it directly... kind of like "what is art?" well, you kind of know it when you see it or feel it) That said, here's this:

Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.

Mikao Usui developed reiki in the early 1900s, deriving the term from the Japanese words rei, meaning "universal," and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things. Now, reiki is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospices, to complement other forms of health treatments.

"Reiki aids in healing by helping people become energetically balanced — physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually," [https://health.clevelandclinic.org/reiki/]

SESSION 1 (4:30 - 4:55PM)
Arrive through front door of 24 COLLEGE .... in the kitchen/waiting area you will be paired with your Reiki practitioner who will set you up in the clinic with a reclining lounge chair, optional blanket and calming music (along with 4 other Reiki pairs)

If you cannot attend a session you've registered for, please message Kate Nicholson and remove yourself from Campus Groups as there is almost always a wait list & students wanting to jump in - otherwise, please show up when you sign up. Enjoy!
