About Us

The Bowdoin Women's Association seeks to bring together a diverse group of women for an in-depth and relevant discussion centered around a different topic each month. The group welcomes all students who identify as women to join, and hopes to spread awareness, facilitate understanding, and encourage debate around the experience of woman-identified persons on the Bowdoin campus and in society. The group hopes that through its curriculum, which gets adjusted each year based on group needs/desires, BWA members are able to deeply consider the ways that they interact with the world around them and the particular experiences that women-identified person tend to experience. The curriculum over the course of the school year is mean to foster learning about the world but also about self.
