Mission
Bowdoin College Club Water Polo was founded in the early 1970s as a recreational group and has since grown into a competitive member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA). From 1999 to 2007 the Polar Bears competed in the CWPA New England conference; today they are members of the North Atlantic conference and compete for a joint championship with the Colonial conference. Bowdoin College Club Water Polo has a limitless roster and welcomes both experienced and novice players. We encourage anyone willing to learn and compete to join the team, though comfort in the water is a must. Bowdoin Water Polo prides itself on its commitment to camaraderie, teamwork, and fair play.
