"Opportunity for course instructors to start the design of a new course or rethink the design of an existing course. In 4 hours, participates write or analyze clear learning outcomes, align those outcomes with transparent assignments, and brainstormed possible course materials while considering the diverse needs of the learners in that class. Opportunity for faculty and instructors to start the design of a new course or rethink the design of a pre-existing course. In 6 hours, you will have written clear learning outcomes, aligned those outcomes with transparent assignments, and intentionally brainstormed possible course materials while considering the diverse needs of the learners in that class. The CDS is a learner-centered experience that allows each participant to spend time working on the elements of their courses that need the most attention while engaging in conversation with the facilitator, and fellow instructors/colleagues.
