Celebrate the Library's Spring 2024 exhibit "Conversing Codices: Artist’s Books Made and Seen by Students in the Fall 2023 Printed Book Class" with refreshments and remarks from student creator/curators.

Last Fall, students in The Printed Book visual arts class studied the extensive artist’s books holdings in Special Collections & Archives while learning to make their own. The experience inspired this exhibition in which each student pairs a work of their own creation with one from SC&A’s holdings. The student curator-creators weave together illustrative techniques, binding styles, and personal narratives to offer us new meanings and interpretations of these works.
