About Us

Bowdoin College's oldest all-male a cappella group. Founded in 1937, the Bowdoin College Meddiebempsters are the third oldest collegiate a cappella group in the nation and a historic student group on campus. By performing barbershop and swing pieces from the 40s and 50s alongside our modern pop repertoire, we hope to uphold our longstanding singing traditions through a unique mix of musical genres. In recent years, we've shared music with the campus, community, and other colleges through performances around Maine and New England, and as a far as California and South Korea.
