When did you last let yourself play without worrying about the outcome? Cas Holman, award-winning toy designer and author of Playful, believes play isn't a distraction from serious thinking; it's where our best thinking begins. In this lecture, she invites us to explore how curiosity and unstructured play help us solve problems, collaborate, and learn without fear of failure. Featured in Netflix's Abstract: The Art of Design and a former professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, Holman has spent two decades designing toys and play spaces that invite us to see learning differently. Join us for this lecture and rediscover, alongside students, faculty, staff, and neighbors, what it feels like to think with curiosity, resilience, and a bit of joy.
