Mission Statement

We aim to preserve the history and culture of Bowdoin College through collaborating with local organizations such as the Pejepscot History Center. We also endeavor to create our own educational programming through walking tours, museum exhibits, and events for students from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Andy Robinson (2027) and Grace Campbell (2027) founded the Bowdoin Preservation Collective in the Spring of 2024, in the second semester of their Freshman Year to fill a lack of history-based clubs on Bowdoin's campus. The Bowdoin Preservation Collective is a part of the Bowdoin Volunteer Corps run by the McKeen Center for the Common Good. Andy hails from California and studies History and Government and Grace hails from Maine and studies History and Archaeology. Both use their different perspectives to shape and create creative club activities and a safe and welcoming club atmosphere that invites students from all backgrounds.
