About Us

Brunswick High School (BHS) Mentoring is a one-on-one, social-based mentoring program that provides additional support, bonding, and friendship for local high school students who seek that extra connection beyond their schoolmates, teachers, or even family members. Such relationships have been shown to improve academic performance, socialization skills, and┬áconfidence levels—not to mention increase smile diameters. Plus, the longer a mentee-mentor relationship lasts, the larger the exponential┬ágains over time! Partnerships have the freedom to meet flexibly during the week and to do a range of mutually agreed-upon activities, be that walking outside, playing sports, crafting art projects, learning a new hobby, playing board games, listening to music, tutoring for homework, speaking a foreign language, practicing musical instruments, dancing the night (or day) away, sharing in thoughtful conversations, teaching a topic about which you are passionate or knowledgeable, or simply just taking a break to relax! The choice is yours, but the enjoyment is for all.
