Preceding the gallery discussion at 7:15 p.m., artist Barbara Putnam will take you on an hourlong creative adventure with scratchboard. Using elements of the exhibition Art, Ecology, and the Resilience of a Maine Island: The Monhegan Wildlands as subject matter, participants will work with specialized tools on small blocks coated with India ink over a chalk base to explore this medium through its signature characteristics of high contrast and endless grays.

No prior experience required, all levels welcome, all materials provided. Space is limited; pre-registration through the CampusGroups link is required.
