The Asian Student Alliance and Athletes of Color Coalition will hold a space to discuss the current events in the country that have largely affected the AAPI, and black and brown communities. This meeting will be a place to hear from and support the members of the Bowdoin community affected by these current events, followed by a discussion on how we all can be better allies. The hour will be broken up into two parts: first, an open-mic for people to share their feelings on the continued violence against the AAPI community and police brutality against black and brown people. After this, we will go into breakout groups to discuss racialized experiences on campus and how we can all act to make Bowdoin a more inclusive place. If you are interested in signing up for the open mic, please email Adriana Nazarko (anazarko@bowdoin.edu) to express your interest!
