Join ASA and English Department to meet Cathy Park Hong! Cathy Park Hong will read from her collection of essays Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning, followed by an interview with Professor Belinda Kong.

Korean American poet and essayist Cathy Park Hong's 2020 collection of essays Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Autobiography and named one of the best books of the year by The New York Times; The Washington Post; NPR; Time; Esquire; and Book Riot, among others. Hong has published three volumes of poetry: Pushcart Prizewinner Translating Mo'um (2002), Dance Dance Revolution (2007), and Engine Empire (2012). Her poetry and articles have appeared in A Public Space, Paris Review, Poetry, The Village Voice, The Guardian, The New York Times Magazine, and many others.
