Hi ASA! Here is a message from one of the founders of the Adoptee Alliance!
--------------------------------------------------
Hi everyone!
My name is Whitney, and I’m one of the founding members of the Adoptee Alliance at Bowdoin (AAB), a new affinity group for adoptees to find community with one another. We would like to invite you to attend an event this Thursday, November 13th from 7:00 to 8:30 pm!
In honor of National Adoptee Awareness Month (November), author Nicole Chung will be giving a lecture at Kresge Auditorium, followed by a facilitated discussion and audience Q&A. There will also be a book signing, where you can purchase copies of her memoirs: All You Can Ever Know and A Living Remedy. Chung is a Korean adoptee, and her work focuses on her experience navigating adoption, identity, and family. You can find the link to the event on Campus Groups here: https://bowdoin.campusgroups.com/asianstudies/rsvp_boot?id=1952140
There will also be a student lunch with Chung from 1:00 to 2:30 pm in the Hutchinson Room at Thorne earlier that day (11/13). There is limited space available, so please email me (wpellegrino@bowdoin.edu) if you’re interested in attending the lunch!
Best,
Whitney

Hope you guys can make it!
